How it begins
Our Story
Qing Wu 青雾 was born from a journey.
During a two-month backpacking trip across Asia, I encountered Chinese matcha that challenged what I thought premium matcha had to be. It was smooth, expressive, and surprisingly accessible — a quiet reminder that quality does not always need to come with an unreachable price.
That discovery sparked the beginning of Qing Wu.
I went on to visit tea plantations across China and Japan, tasting, comparing, and learning directly from producers. I wanted to understand not only what makes a good matcha, but what makes it reliable: the leaf, the harvest, the milling, the supply, and the people behind it.
Eventually, through a trusted personal connection, I secured a partnership with a tea farm that owns its own plantation and produces matcha with a strong balance of quality, consistency, and value.
Qing Wu was created to bring that discovery to Singapore — matcha and hojicha powders that are carefully sourced, café-ready, and made accessible without compromising on taste.
Because good matcha should not only be premium.
It should also be consistent, reliable, and within reach.
